Valentine for that special someone

I want to share with you a sweet Valentine I made for a sweet friend’s hubby.

This was made with the Heartfelt Creations Flip and Fold "E" mini album.  They come two in the package and this is the smaller one in black.  The entire Valentine is covered in beautiful papers from The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie, TX.  The black lacy die cut is Heartfelt Creations made specifically to match up with these fantastic flip and fold inserts.  The rose is handmade from cardstock and the other flowers and leaves are a mixture of punches from cardstock and vellum.

When you open the flaps that are help closed with hidden magnets it reveals a page that has two pockets made from a large 3" scalloped heart punch.  They are made into pockets that hold two tags made from a punch with satin ribbons attached ready for your love notes.

When you unfold the middle flaps you reveal the waterfall pages hidden inside.  These are ready for pictures, journaling, and special mementos to your special someone.

Lips and Love letters.

Great spot for photos.

And who doesn't love a box of Chocolates on Valentine's Day?

Here are wishes for a wonderful Valentine's Day.  Make your sweetie something handmade with love!

Happy crafting,
Annette

Heartfelt Valentine Flipfold Mini Album

I taught this class this past Saturday at The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie and what a beautiful Valentine to give to someone special in your life.

We started with a Heartfelt Creations Flip and fold insert "E" in black that were originally designed to go in their flip and fold album but I turned it into a special interactive card or mini stand alone album for Valentines.  I taught the class how to make 3D roses out of just a circle and a pair of scissors as well as a carnation out of just 8 punched circles and a brad - so much fun!

All of the pages were covered with designer papers from The Crafty Scrapper.  The Valentine was full of pull out tags, belly bands and special love notes.

What a fun class.  I hope this inspires your to make someone a special Valentine!

Happy crafting,
Annette

For the Love of Butterflies on your Birthday Card

I made a very special card this week for a very special lady.  I think that the love and care that you share with a person through a handmade card is so very special.  And what better day to show someone you care for them than on their birthday!?!

This is a 6 X 6 card on pink card stock that is layered with turquoise pearlescant paper, white card stock, and a beautiful butterfly print.  I added paper flowers and leaves on the front for dimension as well as fussy cut butterflies from the paper dusted with glitter and adorned with Swarovski crystals because it is all about the bling!

I added a sweet sentiment and butterfly on the inside as well.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this card and it inspires you.

Happy Crafting!

Happy New Year!  I wanted to share this very sweet birthday card I did for a dear friend that is a cat lover. I used these adorable coordinating cat papers from my favorite scrapbook store in Waxahachie, The Crafty Scrapper.  Then I fussy cut out one of the cute cats and popped her up on the front as well as the sentiment banner.

The inside of this card holds all the magic.  I pulled off one of those extremely difficult Japanese origami pop up kitties from Pinterest that looks like one of her fur babies.

Let me tell you right now.  You need to pack your patience and follow the instructions to the letter in order to make one of these little kitties.  They are time consuming and definitely not something you are going to mass produce but what a special little greeting for someone special in your life.

I hope this inspires you to try something new, look for ideas in new places and get crafting!

Blessings for a fabulous New Year!

Hi everyone!   I am bringing you a very special card/mini album gift today.  This is a fabulous and easy to put together mini album from Heartfelt Creations.  This craft colored based is from their 3D flip fold inserts collection.  They are incredibly sturdy and easy to work with.  Here is a quick peak inside.  The first flip is to flip up the magnetic cover.  There is a very flat magnet placed under the pretty paper of the inside flap and under the pretty paper of the first page to help keep the album closed securely.
And then the next flip is opening the two side flaps to reveal all of the great flip pages inside.  The papers used to cover the album are from their "Poppy" collection.

Here are some more of the great pages inside all ready to add pictures, special notes or journaling, etc.
I think this is an awesome gift to send to someone sharing pictures maybe from a special event, like a birthday or anniversary party?  I of course had to add some fabulous flowers and glitter/bling to make it super special:
So don't be afraid to try some of those new products on the shelf.  You never know what you might create!

Happy scrapping!

Had an absolute blast at the Scrapbook EXPO this year.  Figured out the parking secret - special info for only those who read my blog:   Go early and you can park in the garage under the Convention Center at the Gaylord!  We were able to park there the first few years and then as the EXPO got popular - we had to park way out in the garage on the north side of the hotel and ride the shuttle - it was awful and we were usually tired before we even got to the show.  The lot full sign was up and no one else was allowed to enter the garage for the rest of the day so GO EARLY and park where all the action is.   We always love the classes, visiting with favorite vendors, seeing new products and of course THE SHOPPING!

This year we found a new product from Diamond Ditz at the Kreative Kreations booth (kreativekreations.me)  This is a fabulous craft that will inspire the young and old and all of us in between.  We started with their $5 make and take of which you can choose from several designs and I choose the lady bug:

Everything you need to do this craft is in the kit.  No hunting for tools or additional supplies - just pick up your kit and get to it.

In the kit comes everything you see above.  The pre-printed canvas with adhesive, the separated and labeled flat back facet beads, the bead tray, the oh so special beading tool and the magical pot of wax.

You get started by dipping the tool in the pot of wax.  This makes it uber easy to pick up the beads and place them.  I can't wait to use this new tool and wax for all the rhinestones and bling I use in cards and scrapbooking - it makes this difficult task just a breeze!

You place the beads on the canvas in the proper place matching the grid they provide working a color or area at a time - however you like.

This is the finished project.  I can't wait to make a very special card out of this cute canvas.

These are all the beads that were left over from the kit so you can see that they provide you more than enough supplies.   I am completely hooked now and am ready to purchase some bigger and more challenging kits.   Hmmmm - should I go on their site now or wait till they come to the Arlington GASC in June?   Yep - they told us they will be there with a booth.  This is a incredibly fun new craft.  I thoroughly recommend giving it a try!
